Senator Larry Craig’s Resignation
Idaho Senator Larry Craig resigned today after he was arrested June 11 ‘07 in a police undercover vice operation in a men’s room at the Minneapolis airport. As early as 1982, one year after being elected to the US House of Representatives, the media reported claims that he had had sex with men. At that time Craig appeared on NBC News to deny rumors about cocaine use and sex with male teenage congressional pages (the next year, the 1983 congressional page sex scandal broke, but Craig was not implicated). After his recent arrest, Craig pleaded guilty on August 8, 2007 however he has always maintained, “I am not gay. I never have been gay.”
Larry Craig was born on July 20, 1945 (time unknown) in Council, Idaho. The first thing that jumped right off the screen at me when I entered his birth data was the natal Uranus-Venus conjunction in Gemini. Venus in Gemini, the sign of duality, can suggest bisexuality. The involvement of Uranus can often be part of homosexuality. Further Uranus and Venus are configured with the natal midpoint Mercury/Neptune (i.e. imagination, fantasy) suggesting “sensual thoughts, rapture, expecting a great deal of personal attention; demanding in love; impractical expectations; and going ‘far out’.”
This is not to say that everyone born with Uranus conjunct Venus in Gemini is bi-sexual or homosexual, however the symbolism of this configuration in Larry Craig’s horoscope seems to be under real scrutiny right now!
